Governor Stein Hosts Media Availability Focused on Delivering for North Carolina Families Following Record Voter Turnout in Midterms

Following record voter turnout in the 2026 midterm elections, Governor Josh Stein shared his focus on delivering for North Carolina families:

“Voters across North Carolina have made their voices heard, and together, we restored common sense to the General Assembly. North Carolinians have sent a clear message: They want real action from their elected officials – leaders who are committed to serving them. I look forward to working on the issues that matter the most, from lowering the cost of living to keeping people safe and continuing to invest in the people who make North Carolina the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

“Voters rightly expect their elected officials to work together to get things done. The next General Assembly has a serious responsibility to meet those expectations, and I look forward to working with Speaker-elect Reives, Leader Batch, the next Senate President Pro Tem, and the Republican and Democratic members to deliver for the people of North Carolina. Together we can build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous North Carolina for every person.”
